Post 2, Inglish 4. ¡ What concert, Manuel !
Hi, dear
people who read me. I hope they are well. Concerts for years, many years that I
have not been able to pay for them, although young I was able to attend some:
Mercedes Sosa, Silvio Rodríguez in Mendoza, Los Jaibas in The Caupolicán in the
80s, and Amnesty international Chile, in the National Stadium in the 90s, I am
a woman old, jajajajaja.
However, I recently attended, together with my
son, a free concert in which Manuel Garcia, singer chilean, and I really liked
it. It was exciting, on November 23, 1919, shortly after the social outbreak,
at the San Joaquín Cultural Center.
Manuel is a Chilean troubadour, with a Folk
and Rock tinge, who has been making and interpreting his music more publicly
since 1995. He studied History in the North and emigrated to Santiago to study
Guitar Interpretation. That day he shared with us his work and that of other
troubadours, accompanied by his guitar. All the people who attended this
concert sang the songs with joy and emotion, the theater was full, a beautiful
municipal theater with a poor but dignified audience. "The old communist”,
“Song of the sleepless" and "The right to live in peace" among
many others. It was beautiful to sing and cry, together with my son with the
hope of transformation for all.
We left there better than before entering all
the people who attended, and when we left, they led us around the back of the
theater and a surprise… drinks and typical food of ours! , free everything,
what a concert!
