My challenge, sing a soul.

I like almost all kinds of music, I sing, and I accompany myself on the guitar for it. I am not an expert, nor do I pretend to be, but I have a voice that shines through my soul. And when I need to listen to music I prefer music with a soul, rock in general and the folk music of different peoples, I especially like soul, and although I know little or nothing English, I almost guess what those songs with African-American roots say.  I have liked soul from a very young age, in the mother's house we listened to that music a lot. There were records I wish I could sing sometime in English because there are several gringo songs that I love, especially Soul, especially as it is interpreted by various women such as the great Afro-descendant female voices of soul music of the mid-twentieth century, a musical genre that was taking shape in the United States in the 1950s, which developed in the 1960s and merged in the 1970s. A style of great sensitivity, also rhythm and energy, a genre played by Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Etta James, and today , by another unforgettable, Amy Winehouse. My favorite, in any case, is Nina Simone: performer, with a powerful and seductive voice; with an unmatched talent for the piano; songwriter and an example in the fight for the civil rights of African Americans in the United States.
