Study social work at the University of Chile.

It is interesting the possibility of thinking about changes that I would make in the study program of my career, social work, in the faculty of social sciences of the University of Chile, I am still in fourth grade, yes, and although I still have a way to go, I have some suggestions in this regard.

The first change I would make is to reintegrate the subject of Latin American Social History into the career plan, which at some point was changed to a methodology 3, unnecessary, since we have the two pertinent ones. Reintegrating this subject allows us to recognize historical processes in Latin America since our history has more encounters than disagreements and, for example, to develop a much more complete comparative analysis on social policies.

On the other hand, despite valuing the critical orientation that our career has, focused on training ourselves in critical social work approaches for, hopefully, from the creation of academic papers and social investigation, to influence social policies, I miss the delivery in a compulsory subject of the curriculum of operational tools that facilitate integration into the world of work.

I think that the teaching methodologies need to hold workshop classes in all subjects and more alternatives for the evaluation exercises and to achieve, truly, transfers of our academic research in Nuclei.

Finally, I would very much like there to be more bibliographic support material in the faculty library on social work and social intervention.
